DIY — Ghost cushion
Is Halloween coming? A themed event? Here is how to sew a ghost pillow. I suggest a shape and 3 facial expressions... It's up to you to choose and have fun!
Material
- Fabric of your choice
- Black piping cord
- Iron-on Viseline H250
- Erasable marker
- Sewing thread
- Pattern to download
Step 1 : Trace
Print the shape and choose the "face" you want for your ghost's expression.
Cut out a small piece of iron-on viseline, to strengthen the fabric, and place it where the embroidery of the face will be. Then place your fabric on the shape and trace it. I used an erasable pen that fades with the use of the iron.
Step 2 : embroidery
Embroidery with your machine: push the your feed dogs down and use the zigzag stitch or you can embroider it by hand, it works too!
Step 3: to assemble
Place a piping around the edge of your fabric shape.
Place the other side right sides together and sew around the edge again using the first seam. Leave a small opening...
Turn it over and iron the cushion cover... you only have to fill with wadding (or fabric scraps) before closing it...
Your cushion is ready !
Seen you soon,
